Fakhar Hasan | Conference Coordinator

Fakhar is a second year Commerce student at the University of British Columbia intending to specialize in Finance. This past summer, Fakhar interned at an asset management and investment advisory firm where he further cultivated his analytical skills. His favourite part of the internship was using his quantitative skills to create financial models and gain a deeper understanding of the financial world. Fakhar’s passion for consulting roots from his enjoyment of case competitions and problem analysis. As an intellectually curious individual, he loves learning about issues and finding effective solutions.

Outside of NSCC, Fakhar likes to watch the NBA, read thriller novels, and try out different restaurants with his friends.

Jon Kim | Conference Coordinator

Jon is a second year Commerce student at the University of British Columbia in the Business and Computer Science combined major program. Jon is currently a Customer Service Representative at TD Canada Trust. He is the co-Director of the Student Club Alliance, represents the BUCS Student Association, serves as the AVP of Academic Affairs in the Commerce Undergraduate Society, and a Youth Leader at his home church in Langley.

Over the summer, Jon returned to the Indigenous reserves of Northern BC on an outreach trip. He will always have a restaurant recommendation to share his love of food, a tech topic discussed on This Week in Tech (his favorite podcast), or the newest development of his technical personal projects on the tip of his tongue. Right now, he is working on an application that will analyze your Facebook friends list and return interesting statistics to help you understand your social circles. Jon is beyond excited to represent Sauder on a global scale by hosting the NSCC.

Krishnan Ramakrishnan | Conference Coordinator

Krishnan, also known as Krish is a first-year student who would like to explore Operations and Logistics or Marketing in the next couple of years at Sauder. Before the NSCC, he was part of the Round Square Conference in Singapore 2015 and worked as a firefighter and head of logistics at his fire station. His interests are sports, playing and listening to music and meeting new people. From the experience of Conference Coordinator, he looks forward to understanding the organisational aspect of a conference works. The competition will also give him the chance to see how different minds think up strategies to problems and come up with solutions.


Simon Roberts | Team Lead

Simon is a first year student in the Business and Computer Science combined major option. In the past he was an active participant in case competitions and Model United Nations in the Lower Mainland. He is also an executive member of the UBC Social Enterprise Club. Simon is passionate about running and playing the saxophone. He looks forward to meeting all of the participating teams!

Noah Sayani | Team Lead

Noah is a first-year student in the BCom Program at the Sauder School of Business, with the intent of majoring in finance. In the past, Noah has participated in case study competitions and is currently a Starbucks barista. In his free time, Noah enjoys running, playing soccer, and keeping up to date with the financial markets. He looks forward to meeting all of the participating teams!

Siddharth Suri | Team Lead

Siddharth is a third year Commerce student specializing in Entrepreneurship. Born and brought up in India, Siddharth moved to North Vancouver at the age of 12. Siddharth was apart of the NSCC last year as a Conference Associate and will be returning this year as a Team Lead. Ask him about Vancouver’s Real Estate industry and cool spots to eat. In his free time, you can catch him at a boxing gym, coaching badminton, or most probably watching The Office.


Cindy Zhao | Team Lead

Cindy is a first year student Commerce student at the University of British Columbia intending to specialize in Finance. As a Team Lead, she is looking forward to meeting the delegates and contributing in forming meaningful connections.

Outside of NSCC, Cindy is a Corporate Relations Manager for the Commerce Undergraduate Society and is also involved with the Sauder Summit Global Case Competition as a Competition Director. Additionally, Cindy coaches figure skating for Special Olympics British Columbia. In her free time, Cindy enjoys playing the cello, ballet, and spending time with her friends and family.


Jill Bao | First Year Rep

Jill is a first year student at the University of British Columbia pursuing a combined major in Business and Computer Science. Jill is currently Director of Food Industry at student-run nonprofit Kitchen On a Mission, where she contacts local businesses and organizations to arrange partnerships and is in charge of media marketing. She has also had extensive experience in competing in business case competitions prior to university. In serving as a First Year Representative, Jill hopes to use her skills in communication and problem-solving to help incoming teams have the best possible experience at NSCC. Outside of NSCC, Jill likes to read, play golf, binge-watch Netflix, and socialize with her friends.


Hanting Chen | First Year Rep

Hanting Chen is a first year Commerce student at the University of British Columbia, intending to specialize in marketing. During the past two years, he has worked as the president of the mental health awareness club at his high school, organizing large scale events and numerous awareness campaigns. In addition, he also worked with bubble tea sales organizations and provided fundraisers for the less fortunate of Vancouver. In the upcoming year, Hanting wants to gain more experience regarding marketing, teamwork, and hopes to represent his fellow first years well.

Outside of NSCC, Hanting enjoys drawing, hanging out with friends, and keeping up with the latest news regarding his favourite athletes.


Liam Hildreth | First Year Rep

Liam is a first-year commerce student at the University of British Columbia intending to specialize in finance after his second year. This past summer Liam worked as a data processor and Robotic Process Automation consultant at an insurance firm in Toronto, which is where he is from. He has previously worked as a lifeguard, as well as a barista in a local cold-pressed juice bar.

Outside of academics, Liam has a passion for soccer, guitar, mountain biking, learning about computer science, and volunteerism. In the NSCC, Liam is hoping to develop his leadership skills further and is looking forward to experiencing the competition and conference from behind the scenes.
